1,500 people attended successful Highbridge Festival of The Arts

-

The 65th annual Highbridge Festival Of The Arts has been hailed a success by its organisers after attracting 1,700 entries and more than 1,500 spectators.

The event was held at Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre between February 29th and 9th March.

“This was one of our best festivals to date,” one of the festival’s organisers, Greg Fear, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The festival commitee would like to thank everybody who attended, whether it be to dance, sing, play an instrument or show their reading or acting skills, or simply to watch the talented performers.”

During the ten-day festival, a raffle run by festival friend Ann Burridge raised the grand total of £700 towards the Festival funds and a fundraising concert afterwards raised a further £70.

If you wish to help with another raffle contact Ann Burridge on 01278 785778 or to become a friend of the festival contact either Maureen Phillips on 01278 780615 or Greg Fear on 07577 960973.
