Burnham-On-Sea fire crews called to Highbridge property blaze

Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea were called to a property in Highbridge this afternoon (Monday) after smoke was seen emerging from the building.

Two fire engines from Burnham were called to Marconi Drive at 1.54pm.

"Smoke was seen issuing from a utility unit under the stairs in a block of flats caused by a small fire in a transformer," a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"Fire crews carried out an inspection to ensure it was safe."
