The organisers of Burnham-On-Sea’s annual seafront fireworks display have appealed for sponsors to help fund the event’s increasing costs.

This year’s display is scheduled to begin at 7.30pm on Sunday 11th November with a sparkling display of fireworks from the town’s jetty.

“The cost of this year’s display is estimated to be in the region of £9,000 and with our finances being constantly squeezed, support from local businesses is vital,” Town Clerk Eileen Shaw told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The Town Council believes this major event is a very important attraction which encourages visitors to spend more time in our towns which, in turn, can only be of benefit to local traders.”

Large crowds line the Esplanade to watch the display, which is organised by the Town Council on the evening before the annual Burnham-On-Sea Carnival.
