Heavy rain leaves streets in flood-prone area of Burnham under

Clive Hansard told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The flooding is becoming
quite a problem here after heavy rainfall. Water covers the roads,
driveways and pavements for hours at a time. One elderly resident
even finds it difficult to get out of her home due to the water
surrounding the front of her home."
added: "We have complained to Somerset County Council but
the problem appears to lie with the Holiday Village. The drains
here are overwhelmed by the rainwater from the park and the streets
and are unable to take it away."
