Overnight fog is expected to create hazardous driving conditions across the Burnham-On-Sea area tonight.

The Met Office has issued a severe weather warning for Somerset, urging motorists to take extra care with low visibility on many roads.

“Visibility over the hilly areas of Somerset is expected to be reduced to around 50 metres while in other areas it will fall to between 100 and 300 metres,” said a spokesman.

The Met Office’s yellow alert has been in place since 6pm tonight and lasts until 11am tomorrow morning.
