A total of £1,100 was raised for Burnham-On-Sea’s FolkFest during an Easter Sunday music marathon.

Crowds of supporters attended the event at the Old Pier Tavern in Pier Street, where a wide variety of acts played throughout the day.

FolkFest favourites ‘The FOS Brothers’ played a one hour set alongside other popular acts including Phil King, The Alchemist’s Wardrobe, Vermin, the Trisexual Winkers, Mr & Mrs Russell, Snatch ‘N’ Co, Nick Elswood and friends, and Tim Fardon and Rowan Ensoll.

Folkfest Vice Chairman Graham Cook told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The day went extremely well. We had a good turnout of supporters throughout the day to watch some great acts. Our thanks go to everyone who came along, those who helped run the event, and a special thank you goes to the Pier landlord Martin Taylor for all his support.”

Proceeds from the event will help the organisers foot the costs of running this year’s FolkFest, which runs from August 30th until September 2nd.
