Marine
Cove supporters create an un-frog-ettable fundraising idea!
Supporters
of Burnham-On-Sea's Marine Cove Gardens are encouraging residents
to hop onto their latest fundraising initiative.
The
Friends of Marine Cove have adapted the seafront gardens' colourful
logo into a knit-your-own frog pack!
The
'Frog In A Bag' comes complete with wool, stuffing, and full instructions.
On
sale at £2 in Burnham's information centre on the seafront,
all proceeds go towards maintaining the public gardens, which
opened in December after a four-year refurbishment
project.
"We
wanted to find something a bit different to raise funds,"
a Friends of Marine Cove spokesperson told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"The
frog knitting packs are proving popular and are a lot of fun to
make by adults and older children while helping to raise funds
for our maintenance costs!"
The
frog logo was designed by Highbridge pupil Sam Morris from Churchfield
School during a competition last
summer.
