Heavy rain cancels Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club's Fun Day

Torrential rain caused the cancellation of an outdoor fun day in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (August 5th).

Torrential rain throughout the morning led organisers from Burnham Lions Club (pictured above) to cancel their Fun Day in the town's Manor Gardens at mid-day.

Greg Kelloway, Burnham Lions President, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Unfortunately, the weather was terrible this morning with a poor forecast for the rest of the day, so we therefore took the difficult decision to pull the plug on this year's event."

Many groups still turned up - including the Burnham and Highbridge Youth Theatre (pictured below) and Berrow-based Kung Fu group Fei Lung Kwan.
