Burnham-On-Sea's Mayor welcomes visitors from twin German town
A
group of Germans from Burnham-On-Sea's twin town of Fritzlar have
visited the area this week.
The group of 30 people arrived on Saturday, and were treated to
a civic reception by Burnham's Mayor, Cllr Ken Smout, in the Town
Council Chambers in Jaycroft Road.
He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was great to see group being
treated like returning family members by their Burnham host families
- they were given a very warm welcome."
The group makes exchange visits to the town on a regular basis
and strong friendships have been developed with the host families
over many years.
