lorry driver arrested after fatal crash in Gloucestershire
A
Highbridge lorry driver has been arrested following a crash on
Saturday (October 20th) in which a motorcyclist was killed.
The
lorry collided with a black Kawasaki motorbike on the A38 in Quedgeley,
Gloucestershire just before 9am this morning.
A
43 year-old motorcyclist from
Stroud was killed and his pillion passenger, a 21 year-old woman,
was also seriously injured and is being treated in Frenchay Hospital
for what police described as "life-threatening injuries".
Gloucestershire
Police confirmed that a 48-year-old Highbridge lorry driver had
been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
The
A38 was closed for three hours while officers investigated the
scene. Their enquiries are ongoing.
