New holiday caravans plan unveiled for Brean Golf Course

-

Proposals to replace part of Brean’s golf course with more than 50 new static caravans have been unveiled.

Brean Leisure Park has applied for planning permission to transform part of its golf course into the holiday accommodation.

It wants to locate 58 lodges and static caravans on six hectares of unused land at the rear of the leisure park.

Brean Leisure Park says the area of golf course at the centre of the plans is no longer used for golf since the course is being extended, as Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here.

“The southerly end of the old course, comprising holes 15, 16, 17 and the 18th fairway will cease to be part of the golfing layout, with four new greens elsewhere,” a spokesman explained.

Residents have until October 16th to submit their feedback on the scheme to Sedgemoor District Council’s planning department.
