Free arts festival being held in Highbridge's Apex Park today
A
free arts festival will take place today (Saturday) at Highbridge's
Apex Wildlife Park.
Highbridge
and Burnham Artists is organising the event, called 'Denizens
of the Deep', from 10am to 4pm.
Local
artists have worked in schools, youth clubs, residential homes
and their own studios to make colourful sea creatures for a sculpture
trail at the event.
The
festival, now in its fifth year, will also include many free arts
activities, including events to make your own sea creature.
The
event will also offer art workshops, competitions, exhibitions
and an art fair, drum workshops and live music during the day.
Sculptures
on show will be made from natural materials, such as driftwood,
willow and paper pulp.
