Appeal for witnesses after vandals damage parked cars in Burnham

-

Burnham-On-Sea police have appealed for witnesses after vandals damaged a line of parked cars in the town centre earlier this week.

Four vehicles parked in Burnham High Street outside Lloyds Bank had their wing mirrors damaged during the early hours of Sunday (February 26th), as pictured here.

Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A number of cars were damaged during this incident, which was reported to police at 12.30am on Sunday morning.”

“Enquiries are ongoing and we would ask anyone who saw anything suspicious around this time to get in contact with Burnham Police Station via the non-emergency number 101.”

It is understood that police are examining CCTV footage of the High Street to see whether the damage being carried out has been captured on camera.

It comes just days after Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here how a car parked on the town’s seafront had been damaged with a key or screwdriver.
