In photos: Stranded horse rescued by Burnham-On-Sea fire crews

These
were the scenes when Burnham-On-Sea firefighters rescued a stranded
horse from a water-filled ditch on Monday evening (June 4th).
One
fire crew from Burnham-On-Sea and a Special Rescue Team from Bridgwater
were called to Rookery Close in Rooksbridge at 6pm.
As
pictured here, they used ropes and a range of equipment to haul
the horse free from the ditch.
"Crews
used lines and strops to remove the horse," a fire spokesman
told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The
animal was not thought to have been hurt by the incident and duty
of care was left with a vet who was also in attendance.
