Burnham-On-Sea fire crews rescue trapped horse from ditch

Firefighters from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater were called out to rescue a stranded horse on Thursday afternoon (August 23rd).

Crews were joined by a specialist rescue team at Chilton Moor at 4.38pm where the animal had become stuck in thick mud.

"A medium sized horse was submerged in a bog and crews used strops, lines and manpower to release the animal," a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
