Sub-zero temperatures created these wintry scenes in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday morning (December 1st).

Temperatures plunged to -4C overnight, leaving a coating of ice on roads, cobwebs and vegetation, as the sun struggled to push through the mist and fog until lunchtime, as pictured at the town’s BASC sports ground.

Motorists heeded warnings to take extra care in the icy conditions and there were no reports of any accidents. Meanwhile, forecasters are predicting milder weather for the next few days with more rain arriving on Sunday.
