Highbridge driver hurt after car topples lamp post and slams into ditch

-

The driver of this car was taken to hospital after losing control on the A38 near Highbridge on Saturday evening (March 24th).

Burnham-On-Sea police, ambulance and fire crews rushed to the Isleport roundabout at around 6.30pm after the vehicle demolished a lamp post and ended up in a ditch besides the busy route.

A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The driver had self-released himself when we arrived, but was taken to hospital with possible injuries to his neck.”

It was the second accident of the day on the A38 in the Burnham area following a separate collision in West Huntspill, as Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here.
