New jobseeking club to launch in Highbridge in February

-

Jobseekers in Highbridge will soon be able to draw on the support of a new job club launching in the town.

Sedgemoor Community Partnership at Morland Hall in Highbridge is to host a new weekly Job Club from February 16th with the support of Homes in Sedgemoor.

Computers will be available for use to search for jobs, write applications, improve CV’s and get advice.

In advance of the club opening, a free computer workshop will be held at Morland Hall in Pearce Drive, Highbridge from 10am – 4pm on Monday 30th January to help individuals get the skills they need to make the most of the facilities on offer. The workshop, led by the charity Somerset Film, can also cover how to use Skype, improving digital photography, using social media to find work and Internet safety.

The content of the day will be set around the needs of those participating and has been made possible thanks to support from the Levels and Moors Partnership, Sedgemoor District Council and Somerset County Council.

Places on the workshop are limited and advance booking is essential. To book a place, or for further information, call 01278 433187 or email here or to find out more about the Work Club contact Sarah Boobyer on 01278 552400.
