Burnham and Highbridge Karate Club students achieve red belts

This group of Burnham-On-Sea karate students are celebrating this week after achieving red belt status.

Four students from Burnham and Highbridge Karate Club passed their grading on Sunday to achieve their red belt status. They are pictured above proudly wearing their new belts and holding their certificates.

And Josh Proctor 4th Kyu, pictured right, also had a reason to celebrate, when he took 3rd place in the Boys Kumite at the WKU Invitational Competition at Hutton Moor Sports Centre in Weston-super-Mare.

The club is always happy to welcome new members both Junior (5+) and Adult (16+) and training sessions are every Wednesday from 7-8pm (Juniors) and 8-9pm (Adults) and Sunday mornings from 10-11am (Juniors) and 11-12noon (Adults) at King Alfred School's Sports Centre.
