Highbridge
teachers nominated for prestigious teaching awards
 Two
teachers from Highbridge's King Alfred School have been nominated
for highly prestigious teaching awards.
Steve
Wood and Headteacher Andy Owen, pictured, have been put forward
for 2012 Pearson Teaching Awards.
Both
of the nominees teach maths in a department that has had excellent
results at GCSE level in recent years, being ranked in the top
20 per cent nationally.
The
Pearson Teaching Awards awards programme aims to highlight excellence
and to encourage best practice in teaching across the UK.
