Opening hours at Burnham-On-Sea library are to be increased from February 6th, it has been confirmed this week.
Somerset County Council is reinstating the opening hours of its libraries following a legal ruling regarding last October’s reduction of hours.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reported earlier this month that the council had decided not to proceed with a series of financial cuts following last November’s High Court judicial review ruling that they would be unlawful. The council had been advised that not reverting library services to their previous state would make it “highly likely the council would be held in contempt of court.”
New opening hours at Burnham-On-Sea Library from 6th February:
Monday:
9:30am to 5:00pm
Tuesday:
9:30am to 5:00pm
Wednesday:
9:30am to 1:00pm
Thursday:
9:30am to 5:00pm
Friday:
9:30am to 6:00pm
Saturday:
9:30am to 1:00pm
