Burnham-On-Sea lifeguards go on duty for the summer season

Burnham-On-Sea beach is again in safe hands this summer after the town's lifeguards this week completed an extensive training course in preparation for the holiday season.

Amy Sellick, Emma Trunks, Dave Goffe and Chris Bowker have undergone a course covering rescue, first aid and beach supervision.

Graham Newing from Sedgemoor District Council, who manages beach safety in Burnham, said the beach is life-guarded from 10am-6pm daily until the autumn.
