Police name motorcyclist who died in accident in Lympsham
Police
have named the motorcyclist who died in a fatal accident in Lympsham
on Sunday (June
24th).
76 year-old John Ivison, right, from Exeter, died in the collision
with a Mercedes car at the busy Lympsham road junction of Brean
Road and Rectory Way, as reported here.
Police
said a 72-year-old man from North Somerset had been arrested on
suspicion of death by dangerous driving. He was released on police
bail, pending further enquiries.
Detectives
are appealing for witnesses to the accident to come forward by
contacting them on the non-emergency police number 101.
Traffic
was diverted along alternative roads via Brent Knoll while emergency
services were at the scene, as pictured below.
