76 year-old John Ivison, right, from Exeter, died in the collision with a Mercedes car at the busy Lympsham road junction of Brean Road and Rectory Way, as reported here.

Police said a 72-year-old man from North Somerset had been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving. He was released on police bail, pending further enquiries.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the accident to come forward by contacting them on the non-emergency police number 101.
