£700 raised for Highbridge arts festival at charity movie screening

-

A special fundraising matinee screening of the critically-acclaimed movie Mamma Mia has been hailed a success, having raised over £700 for the Highbridge Festival For The Arts.

Dozens of people attended the screening in Burnham’s Ritz Cinema in Victoria Street on Monday afternoon, raising a total of £700.50.

Organiser Greg Fear told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The Arts Festival committee wish to thank Pat Scott for the free use of the Ritz Cinema and the full house of people who turned out to have a laugh and sing-along to some great Abba songs and support the Festival.”

The annual Arts Festival runs from 29th February to 9th March at Burnham’s Princess Theatre And Arts Centre. To become an official ‘friend’ of the festival, call Greg Fear on 07577960973 or the festival secretary on 01278 780615.
