Crowds of families flocked to an Easter fun day in Burnham-On-Sea’s Manor Gardens on Saturday (April 7th).

The event, organised by Burnham Dreamscheme and Burnham Lions, attracted a steady flow of visitors over the course of four hours.

The activities included a climbing wall, bouncy castle, golf shooting, face painting, drumming, a barbecue, ice cream, refreshments, cookery demonstrations plus a visit by Burnham’s rescue hovercraft, police, St John Ambulance and BBC Somerset.

There were also displays from Berrow’s Kung Fu group Fei Lung Kwan, young dancers and a zumba dancing group.

A climbing race between the emergency services also took place and was won by Burnham Police’s PCSO Sheila Dickinson.

Event organiser John Alexander from Burnham Dreamscheme said he was pleased with how the day had gone.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a very successful day – there was a great atmosphere, a good range of attractions and we had a good turnout. Our thanks go to all those who attended and helped to run the day, including Burnham Lions, without whose help the event would not have happened.”
