A property developer has lost an appeal to overturn Sedgemoor District Council’s decision to reject 13 homes planned for Berrow.

The proposals, for a mix of three and four bed homes in Manor Way, were rejected by the council’s Development Control Committee in June this year.

Applicant Arc Developments South West appealed to the Planning Inspectorate. However, in a decision made this month, planning inspector Douglas Machin has agreed with the council and concluded that a neighbouring property would be adversely affected by noise if the plans had been granted approval.
