Dutch marching band proves a hit during Burnham-On-Sea visit

-

A Dutch marching band was given a warm welcome during its visit to Burnham-On-Sea over the past week.

The Spuug Zat marching band for Zaltbommel in the Netherlands played at various locations across the town during its visit for the town’s Carnival.

Among the locations where the band played was the Burnham Area Youth Centre in Cassis Close where the group played for the Burnham and Highbridge Gateway Club.

“The foot-tapping music session gripped the whole audience within minutes and everyone was soon dancing in the aisles,” a group spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The Gateway Club would like to thank the band for entertaining our members for the afternoon and for contributing generously to the raffle which raised £129 for the charity.”

The band enjoyed the carnival festivities and were staying with host families in the local area.
