The group of volunteers who are maintaining Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens is to hold a ‘gardening tool amnesty’ later this month.

The Friends of Marine Cove has appealed to residents to donate unused or unwanted gardening tools for use in maintaining the recently-opened facilities.

“We are appealing for any tools that are in a useable condition which may have been gathering dust in garages or sheds,” community gardener Jacqui Strong told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The Friends of Marine Cove would be pleased to receive any unwanted hand tools, such as hoes, spades and forks, for use by our volunteers.”

The tools can be handed in on Thursday 19th January between 9am and 10.30am.
