Sedgemoor District Council and Somerset Skills and Learning will be running a Gardening Workshop at Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens on Saturday (19th May) between 10am and 4pm.
The session will provide an opportunity to brush up on basic gardening skills such as seed sowing and taking cuttings at the recently-restored garden on The Esplanade.
The day will start with an introduction to Marine Cove and some horticultural knowledge will be shared by Community Gardener Jacqui Strong.
In the afternoon Rachel Jones from Plant Life will be on hand to provide information about using the natural resources that a garden can offer to make gifts and carry out other novelty activities.
The workshop will be free and open to anyone. Information about the history of Marine Cove and details about the courses that are available with Somerset Skills and Learning will be available throughout the day.
