Over
300 vehicles go on show at Mark International Vehicle Festival
Hundreds
of classic cars went on show near Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday (August
26th) at the Mark Moor International Vehicle Festival.
Members
of the village's Community Association organised the popular display,
which was held besides Mark Village Hall.
The
event was opened by Michael Penn, the Curatorial Director of Haynes
Motor Museum, along with overall organiser Bruce Penrose.
"This
year's show featured in excess of 300 display vehicles ranging
from classic, vintage, military and agricultural cars, motorbikes
and lorries to today's latest showroom family cars," a spokesman
told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The
event was hailed a success after attracting a crowd of over 1,000
spectators - helped by a day of brilliant summer sunshine.
Burnham's
MP Tessa Munt is pictured sitting in a 1953 Sunbeam Alpine, owned
by Portishead enthusiast Cliff Richards who has owned the vehicle
for two years and has fully restored it.
