Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor was the special guest at the official opening of a school’s new IT department on Monday (September 24th).

Cllr Ken Smout launched St Andrew’s School’s new computer suite and said he was “very impressed” with the new facilities.

“The entire suite was gutted over the summer and the room has received a total makeover including upgraded lighting, a new carpet and redecoration plus 40 new computers and work surfaces,” headteacher Gavin Morris told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The works were completed in August ready for the start of the new school year.”

“Thanks go to our governing body for supporting this project and investing in this new technology for our children and future pupils. The children are delighted with their new suite, especially as they now have a computer each to work with.”
