Sooty
gives his support to Brean walk in aid of Alzheimer's Society!
Almost
50 supporters
of The Alzheimer's Society pulled on their walking boots to take
part in a sponsored walk at Brean on Sunday (16th September).
The
annual Memory Walk started at Brean Leisure Park, as pictured
here, and was supported by children's TV character Sooty.
The
fundraisers strode along the beach to Brean Down and back, raising
hundreds of pounds for the charity in the process.
"We
had a good turnout and thank everyone for their support,"
organiser Jo Taswell told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"This
walk has been running for over eight years in aid of The Alzheimer's
Society and is well supported. It has raised many thousands of
pounds in total over that time."
