Police name Burnham man killed in crash and issue fresh appeal

Police
have named a man who was killed in a crash near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday
(July 13th) and issued a fresh appeal for witnesses.
A
65 year-old man, named as Professor James Henry Perry from Burnham,
was killed in the two-car accident on the Causeway, between East
Huntspill and Woolavington, at 7.20am near the entrance to Middlemoor
Water Park.
Police
spokesman Martin Dunscombe told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Both
vehicles came to rest on opposite sides of the road in ditches."
"The
driver of a silver VW Golf was able to get out of his car and
was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with a head injury."
"The
driver of the Mondeo died as a result of his injuries at the scene."
"Police
would now like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this
collision, in particular anyone who may have seen the vehicle
prior to this incident."
Anyone
with information is asked to call the police's Collision Investigation
Unit on 101.
