lifeboats launched in fresh scare over missing girl

Burnham-On-Sea
Coastguards and two lifeboats were launched on Sunday after reports
that a girl had gone missing on Brean beach.
The
two lifeboats had just returned from an exercise during Burnham's
annual rescue services day when they were tasked by Coastguards
to investigate reports of a four-year-old girl missing on the
beach.
Fortunately,
the child was found as the lifeboats arrived on scene and they
were quickly stood down and returned to their station.
Burnham
Coastguard Officer Steve Bird told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
girl had become disorientated and got separated from her parents.
Fortunately, she was quickly reuinted with her family."
Helmsman
Glenn Cutter added: "We are thankful after this very difficult
week that the child was found safe and sound on shore."
