Move
over London... Burnham's Monday Club holds it own Olympics!
Burnham-On-Sea's
Monday Club celebrated The Olympics with a series of fun-filled
events this week.
Organiser
Julia Elswood told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Swept up by the excitement
of the London Olympics, members decided to hold their own version
in the BAY Centre's multi-use ball court. Luckily, the rain held
off long enough for us to enjoy the festivities."
The
Monday Club was set up to replace dwindling day centre facilities
for adults with learning difficulties in the Burnham area.
It
is run completely by volunteers, and members enjoy various activities,
healthy meals and various recreational activities.
