Brent Knoll restaurant features on TV's 'The Restaurant Inspector'
A
restaurant near Burnham-On-Sea was the focus of Channel Five's
Restaurant Inspector TV series on Monday evening (June
18th).
Fernando
Peire, the director of London's world-famous Ivy restaurant, right,
visited Ollie's Restaurant next to the A38 in Brent Knoll, which
was previously called Acorns.
The
episode focused on how 19-year-old Ollie had stepped up from being
the manager to take over the restaurant's lease but, finding himself
in too deep, had turned to show for help.
Fernando
set up several cameras to monitor the restaurant at work but was
less than impressed. He
suggested that the Ollie and chef Martin focus on cooking quality,
local ingredients and he also offered several ideas to give the
place a bit of warmth.
Viewers
were told at the end of the episode that Fernando's visit had
turned the business around and transformed it into a success.
The show can be watched online here.
