Drug dealing and Manor Gardens issues voted top police priorities

Tackling drugs in Burnham-On-Sea town centre and anti-social behaviour in the Manor Gardens have been voted as the top two priorities for police in the town over the next three months.

At Burnham Police's quarterly 'Have Your Say' meeting last night (Thursday), residents were given the chance to select the issues which should be adressed by police in the town.

During the meeting, which was attended by around 20 people in the Town Council Chambers, tackling anti-social behaviour in the Manor Gardens in the run-up to a £250,000 project to renovate the Manor House - and drug dealing in the town centre were agreed as the main priorities.

Updates were also given on tackling the two issues set at the previous meeting last year - anti-social driving and parking problems.
