Burnham-On-Sea Panto Society members take a bow at awards night

Burnham-On-Sea Pantomime Society has presented awards to its hard-wording members after a busy year for the group.

The group, which performed Sleeping Beauty in January as we covered here, handed out awards to its members during its annual presentation night at Burnham's Community Centre.

Among the winners of the Junior Star of the Future award were Luke Harrington, Georgia Twigg, Zoe Nicholson, Lorna Davey, Joe Harrington, Elena Mitchell and Emma Nicholson (right).

Further certificates were also handed to those members who won awards and nominations at Somerset's Cinderalla Awards earlier in the year when Burnham did well.

They included Derek Jones, right, who was named Solo Musician Of The Year, Emma Twigg who was nominated as linkman of the year and Emma Nicholson, who was nominated as principal girl of the year.

The awards were handed out by Derek Coooper, who is president of Burnham Panto Society.

The group's annual general meeting will be held on Friday 7th September at 7.30pm in Burnham Community Centre when all will be welcome to attend and find out more.
