Pensioner trapped behind door rescued by Burnham-On-Sea fire crews

Fire crews rescued an elderly woman who became trapped behind a door in her Highbridge home on Wednesday evening (October 31st).

Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called to Southwell Crescent at 6.15pm after reports that the pensioner was stuck behind a bedroom door.

"Crews gained access by removing the door's hinges with a saw," a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"An ambulance was also in attendance to check over the elderly female and after release she was left in the hands of the ambulance crew."
