Police have this week urged parents to be extra vigilant after morphine tablets were reported to be missing in the Burnham-On-Sea area.

The tablets, which are pink in colour and 20mg in size, have been taken or fell from the handbag of a woman.

She had gone to a club in Berrow when she found them missing.

“The lady visited the Sandy Glade Holiday Park in Coast Road and discovered the tablets were missing. She takes them daily for epilepsy. They were contained in a foil pop-out packet,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Police are warning parents to be vigilant and to advise their children if they see the tablets to inform them immediately.

Anyone spotting the tablets should contact police at Burnham-On-Sea on the force non-emergency number 101.
