Burnham-On-Sea MP Tessa Munt has this week given her backing to the work of a social enterprise in Brent Knoll.

The MP has pledged to refer disabled constituents to Pluss, which has a showroom at Sanders Garden World, for equipment and employment opportunities.

Tessa said: “Pluss offers a fantastic facility for local people in my patch. The outlet offers a wide range of equipment to help aid daily living for disabled people.”

“It also provides a one-stop shop for assessments, servicing and aftercare of all equipment. There is a big demand from people living in the area and I would urge people to visit the showroom or call the Pluss team to take advantage of this unique service.”

Pluss also supports thousands of disabled people each year to achieve work and a career. It directly employs hundreds of disabled people within its own commercial enterprises.

Marie Proll, Mobility Services Manager at Pluss, explained: “Our staff have a real understanding of the barriers that elderly and disabled people face on a day-to-day basis.”
