Burnham-On-Sea recycling collections delayed by police bomb probe

-

Somerset Waste Partnership says that some recycling collections in Burnham-On-Sea were unable to be made on Friday due to the discovery of explosives at a home in the town.

A spokesman from the organisation which collects recycling across the town told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The incident in Beatty Way resulted in a large area being cordoned off with no immediate prospect of an early end to the situation.”

“As a result, Somerset Waste Partnership was unable to make recycling collections in areas behind the cordon. Due to the number of properties involved and the uncertain length of the incident, recycling collections in this area will not be made again until next Friday – January 27th.”
