Large porpoise washed up on Brean beach at high tide

A large porpoise was washed up on Brean beach on Thursday evening (September 27th).

The discovery of the dead mammal, pictured here, was made at high tide by several walkers near Brean Cove.

The beach warden said the carcass would be taken away by Sedgemoor District Council’s Clean Surroundings Team.
