Burnham-On-Sea
town centre pub re-opens after £170k refurbishment

A
Burnham-On-Sea pub has re-opened this week following a £170,000
refurbishment.
The
Pier Tavern in Burnham's Pier Street was closed for a month while
work to overhaul the pub was undertaken.
It
has now been completed and the pub re-opened on Friday (October
26th).
Landlords
Ian Goodman and Kasia McGregor, pictured above, say the revamp
of the pub has introduced new interior decorations and facilities.
"It's
got a completely fresh look with two new pool tables, three giant
screen TVs, new fireside seating and brand new furniture and decorations,"
Ian told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"We
have sporting memorabilia and historical photos of Burnham on
the walls to add extra interest."
He
said the pub's new entertainment schedule includes live music
every Friday and Saturday night, Sunday lunches with jazz, Tuesday
tea dances from 10am-1pm (from November 6th) and 'Laptop Fridays'
from 10am for business networking (from November 9th).
