Burnham-On-Sea
runner raises £1,800 for charity at London Marathon
Burnham-On-Sea
runner Richard Thomas has raised over £1,800 for charity
by completing last week's London Marathon.
Richard
completed the course in four hours, forty seven minutes and ten
seconds and sponsorship for his nominated charity, Highbridge-based
National Blind Childrens Society, has so far reached £1,882.00,
which is far more than his original target of £1,350.
Richard
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was an amazing day and everyone
who has been kind enough to donate really pushed me over the line."
"It
was surprisingly warm so that took its toll, but the amount of
people lining the streets cheering you on raises your spirits."
"I
could probably sleep for a week and I think it will take a while
for my body to recover, however it was definitely worth it."
Richard
is still welcoming donations online here.
