Residents to hold meeting in Highbridge over plans for 95 new
homes
A
public meeting is to be held in Highbridge this evening (Wednesday)
when residents will be able to air their objections regarding
a proposed development of 95 new homes.
The
proposals for the riverside boatyard near The Clyce include eighty
five 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses, plus ten 1-bedroom flats, and
have attracted scores of ojections from nearby residents.
The
public meeting is being held in the hall beside Highbridge Hope
Baptist Church on Church Street from 7pm when residents will be
formulating a comprehensive response to the proposals.
Cllr
Joe Leach, who will be present, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The
meeting was agreed at the site meeting last week as something
residents wanted to do. I am grateful to Hope Baptist Church for
hosting us, so that we can be able to hear all objections, and
formulate them into valid reasons which the Development Control
Committee will accept. I hope as many people as possible can attend."
The
meeting will be held in the hall beside the Baptist church, accessed
by the entrance down the side of the church on Church Street,
Highbridge. All welcome.
