£500 raised for Burnham-On-Sea RNLI during fundraising car wash

-

Vehicles of all shapes and sizes were given a wash during Burnham-On-Sea RNLI’s latest fundraising car wash on Saturday (April 7th).

The event raised around £500 for the lifeboat charity, taking this year’s total to £1,200 following an earlier car wash in January.

Volunteers at the lifeboat station in Pier Street had to postpone the second event until April following wintry weather back in February.

Owners of bikes, motorhomes, trucks and scores of cars joined the queues outside the lifeboat station to be washed on Saturday, as pictured here.

Lifebat Operations Manager Ricky Holmes told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Thank you to everyone for all your support. As you can see we cleaned all kinds of vehicle!”
