Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club has this week handed over thousands of pounds to Childrens Hospice South West following a successful fundraising event.

Burnham Rotary Club President Ian Breed presented £4,744 to the charity’s fundraising representative, Tamara Downes, at a function on Thursday night.

“We are delighted to have handed over such a big sum to the hospice who do such valuable work in our region,” Ian told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“The money was raised during a very successful wassailing evening held in January at Rich’s Cider Farm near Highbridge.”
