Sedgemoor District Council has this week handed a £600 boost to Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club’s project to build a special wall to commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee.

The council’s Grant Awards Committee has announced £4,390 of Community Grants and £16,578 of RLT2 contributions are to be given to groups across the district.

The Rotary Club of Burnham has been awarded £600 to erect a wall, with seating, in Highbridge’s Apex Park to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June.

Students from Bridgwater College and Burnham’s Dreamscheme are helping build and decorate the wall, as we first reported here.
