Burnham-On-Sea youth rugby club hit by player shortfall

-

Burnham-On-Sea Rugby Club has this week issued an urgent plea for more youngsters to come forward amid a major shortfall of players.

Russell Dyson, Vice Chairman of Burnham-On-Sea Young Bucks, said several of the club’s teams are without players this season.

“We don’t have enough players to form under 9s, 12s or 16s teams this year which is very disappointing,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“It’s also worrying to us because the children are the club’s senior players of the future.”

“We would invite any parents who think their children may be interested in playing to get in contact. We would also like to hear from coaches and ex-players who are interested in joining us.”

Further details about the teams and how to join them are available by contacting Russell by email here.
